Once you send us your registration form, we will make a reservation for you at the Warwick Hotel. Below is the contact information for the hotel.

Note that the Warwick Hotel has a free shuttle bus service that will take you to anywhere within three miles of the hotel, including Rice University, three museums, and several restaurants. However, the shuttle does not have room for many people, so it is not possible for all conference participants to take the shuttle to the conference events. Please refer to the maps of the area to see how to walk from the hotel to Rice University, which only takes five to ten minutes.
CURRENCY EXCHANGE
If you need to change foreign currency into US dollars, please do so at the airport. You will need US dollars in order to take ground transportation to the hotel. Also be advised that there are no locations near Rice University or the hotel at which to change currency.
TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THE HOUSTON AIRPORTS
AIRPORT SHUTTLE SERVICE
Because it is convenient and economical, we highly recommend that you use the airport shuttle service for transportation to and from the airport. Please purchase your shuttle tickets at the discounted round-trip price.
The Airport Express shuttle service offers the most affordable shuttle service to the Warwick Hotel. The rate from Houston Intercontinental Airport to the hotel is $20 per person or $36 round-trip. The rate from Hobby Airport is $15 per person or $26 round-trip. The shuttles run approximately hourly from both airports and deposit passengers directly at the hotel. Depending on traffic, the trip takes about an hour from Houston Intercontinental, and about 20 minutes from Hobby.

At Houston Intercontinental Airport, the Airport Express desk is located across from the baggage claim area in Terminal C, by a sign that reads "Express Shuttle." You must purchase your shuttle ticket at this desk if you have not purchased it on-line. (To get to Terminal C if your flight does not arrive there, follow the signs to the inter-terminal train.) At Hobby Airport, the Express Shuttle desk is also located across from the baggage claim area, in Hobby's only terminal.

There is a taxi line outside both airports. Fares from Hobby Airport to Rice University vary from $24-$28 (plus tip). From Houston Intercontinental, the fares typically range from $42-46 (plus tip).
Please note that if you are arriving with a group of conference participants, it may be more cost-effective to split the taxi fare rather than utilize the shuttle service.
RETURNING TO THE AIRPORT
If you choose to return to the airport via the Airport Express shuttle service, you can arrange a pickup by calling them directly at the above number. Please make your reservation with Airport Express at least 3 hours prior to the time of your departure from the hotel; the night before if you are leaving in the morning. If you choose to return via taxi, call any of the above services at least forty-five minutes prior to your departure. The hotel concierge will assist you if needed.
